For those of you that did not already know , the “SPSS Dimensions” platform has been re-named to “PASW Data Collection”. The first thing you are going to ask is what does PASW stand for and why has Dimensions been re-named. To find the answers to these questions and discover a new product release coming in 5.6 …

A: Predictive Analytics SoftWare

Q: Why the re-name?

A: Its a good question , and whilst we dont have an offical answer if you look at the SPSS website you will notice that it has had a major face lift and is finaly putting out a consistent message as the “The Predictive Analytics Company”.

So we have new names, but do we have anything else? Well , PASW Data Collection 5.6 introduces new data entry capabilities, an enhanced authoring interface suitable for the novice and the research professional, and new phone-based interviewing capabilities designed to shape the modern survey research call center. This release also further extends the enterprise readiness of the data collection platform with enhancements to performance and security.
