News : Smarter Dimensions April 2010

Wow , what a month , we spent allot of time sorting out the code corner and spammers. Again , we think we have won this round , but we are sure they will be back. Please note that we had to delete accounts that had not been used for a while as we suspect that one of these accounts was being used to cause some sf the problems. Any way as you will know we started our articles on concurrency and finally we have covered everything that gives you a basic understanding of what it required to work out what you may need. This month we will take what we have learnt so far and show you how to convert that to the physical type of hardware that you will need. You will see these articles start to appear from the 7th April.

Also last month Verge ran its free Web Cast and for those of you that did not see it then you can see it here. It was a great webcast and well worth a look even if you are not interested in what they have done, it will show you just what can be done.

If you follow us on Twitter you may have seen that we have started to play around with Google Maps. A while back #Mario tweeted that he wondered how Market Research would get involved in the location game. Everyone is getting involved these days and it seems to be the next big thing. So we asked ourselves the question How & Why , we have done round one of this project and you can see it here, basically what happens is when you visit our site we record your IP address and that gets converted to a Google location. We need to make this more accurate , so what we are going to do next is to add a check in feature so that you can , if you want say where you are at the time you visit the website and perhaps post something about yourself. Anyway , watch this space and just see what we come up with.

Don't forget we post jobs that we come across via Digsby to all our Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter accounts so make sure that you signup to one of these to keep an eye on what jobs come up. You just might find the new job you are looking for this year.
